Governor of New Mexico
Bill Richardson stood for the Democratic nomination for President of
the United States - no easy task! He campaigned to bring all the
troops home, arguing that they had now just become targets in
someone else's civil war.
Governor Richardson
shares a few more of his views on how the war in Iraq could be
brought to an end, and gives reasons why he feels the adventure
should end as soon as possible. He argues that not only does the
American presence in Iraq fail to make life there better for the
ordinary Iraqi but actually makes life more difficult for them with
the result that hatred of America and her troops is increasing and
is now the biggest obstacle to political improvements there.
